SOLD This large horizontal painting, oil on canvas, 22 x 40 inches, was done some time ago after doing a number of "Eve" paintings that were more exotic and erotic, for a few commissioned clients. I wanted to show that a woman, any woman, is beautiful without being depicted as just a sex object. I used the same model as I had for the others but just let her keep on the sweatshirt she had worn that day. I like the triangle shape, I put the apple in her hand in an obvious place, and I made the background long and dark to imply the sometimes loneliness of trying to just be a person not a special object. I hope this worked.
